August 21, 2024 — A woman from Dallas, Texas has filed a pressure cooker lawsuit against ALDI.
The plaintiff, Iglesias S., claims that she was seriously burned by a defective Ambiano 9-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker from ALDI.
While using her ALDI Ambiano Pressure Cooker in April 2022, she claims that she was seriously burned due to the “pressure cooker’s lid suddenly and unexpectedly exploding off the pressure cooker’s pot.”
She claims that it was “dangerously defective” because she was burned as a result of the “pressure cooker’s lid suddenly and unexpectedly exploding off the pressure cooker’s pot.”
She blames her injuries on the failure of the pressure cooker’s supposed “safety features,” such as the float valve, pressure regulator, and lid position sensor.
She claims that ALDI advertised these safety features and misled her about the risk of using the product.
The lawsuit was filed against ALDI, Inc., on April 8, 2024 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas (Dallas Division) — Case Number 3:24-cv-00855-K.
