In January 2020, Sunbeam Products was hit with yet another Crock-Pot Pressure Cooker Lawsuit after it exploded food when the lid was opened.
The lawsuit was filed by a woman who was severely burned when her Crock-Pot Electric Pressure Cooker exploded.
The woman says the pressure cooker’s “safety features” are defective because she was able to open the lid when the pot contained a dangerous amount of pressure, resulting in an explosion of boiling-hot food and liquid.
The lawsuit was filed on January 31 in the Circuit Court for Palm Beach County, Florida — In RE: Botello v. Sunbeam Products, Inc. and Newell Brands, Inc. —Filing # 102592884.
